We are located at 19-21 Hopper St, Mt Cook, Wellington. We are here Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5.30pm.
Welcome to our small and whānau focused early learning centre on the edge of Wellington City as you head up towards Mt Cook and Wellington’s southern suburbs. We offer a nurturing environment for your precious little ones and often get out and about exploring all that the city has to offer.
Here at Hopper St, we have small group sizes, but spacious learning environments. Whānau and community are strong here, our tamariki are supported to develop strong relationships and family connections are intentionally fostered. We deeply believe in fostering each child’s individuality and working alongside whānau to encourage and support them in their learning journey. Our team love to have fun and celebrate life-moments together. This means that we have an energetic learning environment where dance parties are common and we often get compliments on ‘the vibe’ of the space.
We have a beautiful sheltered open plan outdoor area which we enjoy exploring in all weather. Here at Hopper Street there is no bad
weather if you’re dressed for the occasion. When the Wellington storms kick in,
we enjoy our covered outdoor area for some physical movement and fresh air. Our
younger tamariki can watch their older hoa (friends) through the open fences
while still enjoying their own space where kaiako in both play spaces provide
endless opportunities to learn and develop in age-appropriate ways.
Millie’s House Hopper St is just off Webb St and super easy to get to and from the motorways, Taranaki St, the Southern suburbs. We also have off-street parking for drop off and collections. We’d love to show you around!

Right here on the city edge, we have so many fun city excursions on our doorstep. Who knows? We might even visit you and your workplace!
What we are most excited for, is the connection we have with Millie’s House Basin Reserve. A short (and careful) walk with so many opportunities for learning about road safety on the way and a centre we can visit.
Our fabulous four-seater buggies mean even our littlest ones can get out and about.
